Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola, Vernazza, and Monterosso, are the five towns suspended between land and sea, posed on rocky cliffs. The main activity is vine – growing typical of the area, which has contributed to create a unique landscape with the typical dry walls, characteristic of the hills over hanging the sparkling sea, with it’s bays and enchanting beaches.
The “Cinque Terre” also offers walks along foot paths in the hills between the small towns, boat excursions, visits to the various sanctuaries, and typical local food with first class wine.
National park from 1997 the “Cinque Terre” are patrimony of humanity, protected by Unesco.

The ancient “Portus Veneris”, at the extreme western point of the gulf of La Spezia, is to day one of the most suggestive small towns along the coast.


Here you can walk through the “carugio” (small winding streets with steps up to the higher parts of Portovenere).

Walking through the “carugio” with it’s picturesque flights of steps, (also called capitoli), one meets the local people, craft shops, and typical “trattorie”

The Versilia is an area rich in locations such as sea, mountains, history and culture.
Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Lido di Camaiore and all the coast offers the best ingredients for a holiday that combines in an ideal way a variety of opportunities including entertainment, culture and artistry.
The Riviera offers many places for tourism and entertainment with many local pubs, clubs and historical buildings.
From the 1900’s this area was the birthplace of many famous artists and the architecture is of the “Liberty” style, which can be seen inside and outside the houses and buildings of Viareggio. It is also famous for the well known annual Viareggio Carnival.
In those years the village Pietrasanta became an artistic enclave where sculptors and painters founded their own school of art where they could practice their artistic dreams.
